The wait is over! Roanoke’s Highland Park is officially home to one of the region’s most challenging disc golf courses. Players will get a workout while traveling over the hill-filled terrain the course is set on, while aiming their discs between trees which provide obstacles on many of the holes. The 9-hole course offers 3180 feet of play, with the longest hole measuring 633ft. The total par is 30. The course was financed by donations to the Roanoke Frisbee Disc Association (RFDA). The RFDA has purchased 9 portable DGA Mach III Pole Holes that are used as a back nine at the Fishburn Park Disc Golf Course and as 9 hole courses at tournaments set up in other parks in the Roanoke Area.
