Gala Primitive River Front Campground is located about 1/2 mile from the Gala boat landing just off State Route 220. It is situated about 25 miles upstream of our Buchanan canoe livery location near river mile marker 51. This campground can accommodate both paddle in and drive in campers. It is about a 25 minute drive from our Buchanan livery location. Each of the 11 campsites are numbered and include a fire ring, picnic table, parking area, and level tent pad. Portable toilets and a dumpster are conveniently located in the center of the campground. There is no power, or water at any of the sites.
