Center in the Square is a seven-story regional non-profit cultural center providing support for seven cultural and educational organizations. Our spectacular 6,000 gallon living coral reef aquarium is the largest aquarium of its type in the Mid-Atlantic Region. It is home to 250 colorful marine fish and 150 live soft and stony corals. Housed within our signature building known as Center in the Square are four cultural arts and science non-profit organizations: Harrison Museum of African American Culture, History Museum of Western Virginia, Mill Mountain Theatre, and Science Museum of Western Virginia.
