Roanoke Children’s Theatre: Professional Theatre for Young Audiences is the valley’s only professional theatre designed just for children. RCT’s mission is to provide high quality theatre education and entertainment for kids, their schools and their families with year-round productions and programming. RCT produces four targeted literary or issue-based productions per year. We employ professional theatre staff, professional adult actors, and professional theatre educators and designers, who then team with local youth and talent to create a unique mentoring opportunity that benefits the entire community. Many of the Roanoke Valley area’s leading artists live and create in scenic Botetourt County. The fall event falls on the last weekend of October every year. Olin Hall is the Fine Arts Building on the Roanoke College campus in Salem, Virginia. The O. Winston Museum is dedicated to the photographic, audio and video works of photographer Winston Link and his project to document the last days of steam along the Norfolk and Western Railway. With over 300 black and white and color images on exhibit, the Museum welcomes all to explore this vibrant but gone part of history. The Museum also exhibits work by other photographers regularly as part of the goal to create a photography cultural center.
