Art in Roanoke at Elmwood Park – The Natural City is a temporary sculpture exhibition in Roanokes Elmwood Park Art Walk. Ten sculptures are being displayed for 18 months along the axis adjacent to the Roanoke Public Library and stretching from the South Jefferson Street Entrance of the recently renovated park and concert venue. Artists were selected in a competitive process including both existing pieces and site specific work created just for this location and exhibition. Artists are from around the country and around our region. Sculptures include: “Decending Night” by Jack Howard-Potter; “Rawrenok” by Anthony Heinz May; “Cougars and Eagles” by Roberts Clements; “Leaf” by Dan Kuehl; “Peek between Trees” by Mark Krucke; “Life Cycle” by Hanna Jubran; “Celebration” by Cecilia Lueza; “Sustain” by Charlie Brouwer; “Rising Puzzle” by Jacob Smith; “Ask the Fish 2.0” by Stephen Fairfield.
